What is dA bAsh?

dA bAsh is a portal for the funniest quotes from deviantART's own dAmn. From the intentionally hilarious to the subtle Fruedian typos, we welcome it all and count on you, the dAmn chatters, to supply the best there is in dAmn humor.

Who can submit?

That's the beauty of it: anyone on dAmn can submit a funny quote from dAmn. All you need to do is copy the funny quote from dAmn, go to the submit page, and paste it there. We do ask that you remove the timestamps from the quote, especially if they're not in the standard nn:nn or nn:nn:nn format and enclosed in () (parentheses) or [] (brackets).

Can we submit whatever we want?

Well, yes and no. All quotes are subject to approval or disapproval for various reasons; the primary reason for deletion is simply it's not funny. We do this to keep the quality up.
Quotes that are blatantly insulting and disrespectful to a person or group of people, while lacking in humor, will likely not be approved. The quote managers will use their best discretion on this.

How do we vote?

Voting is a key aspect on bAsh. To keep the quality of the quotes up, we encourage everyone to vote up their favorite quotes and vote down their least favorite. To vote on the site, click on either the - or + sign around the quote rating number. In dAmn, it's pretty much the same. Click either the + sign to vote up or the - sign to vote down. And vote as often as possible to keep up the quality!

What gets edited?

We do try to clean up the quotes before they're approved. Timestamps that got past the filters, unrelated/irrelevant comments, people coming and going from the room unrelated to the quote, and things like laughing that doesn't increase the actual humor of the quote will often be removed. However, language is not edited--we do not remove or censor vulgarities as to preserve the original quote. Sometimes, there may be an editor's note above or below a quote mentioning what was edited or offering a bit of insight into the quote itself.

What is this *dAbAsh account?

dAbAsh on deviantART is the information account for the site. Watch this account for up-to-date news and contest information! The account is also used as a bot in the chat room #bash and periodically shows quotes from the site that you can vote on.

How can my channel become an affiliate?

You must meet at least one of the following requirements:

1. Have a link to bAsh in your channel topic or title
   
2. Have a link to bAsh on your chatroom community page
   
3. Pimp bAsh in your room like it is your first girlfriend/boyfriend

Then note either =Nex9k9 or =bellchild with a link to a stamp for your club. It'll get added to the Affiliates page as soon as you've been verified to meet the requirements.
